What a wonderful discovery during our visit to Torquay this weekend. Had a very delicious cream tea! The most dog friendly place we’ve ever come across. Various treats free for dogs and water bowls. We were even given a soft mat for our dog to lay on. We’ll visit many times in the future :)

During a recent day trip to Torquay in May, my wife, our small dog, and I were searching for a nice dog-friendly place to have lunch. We decided to try the Lighthouse Continental Cafe Bar, and we were so glad we did! From the moment we arrived, we received a warm and friendly welcome. It was a hot day, so we chose to eat outside. Our dog was promptly given a rug to sit on, and it wasn't long before she received a bowl of water and some treats. What a fantastic start! The food and drinks we ordered arrived promptly and were of excellent quality. The prices were also quite reasonable. In conclusion, we had a first-class experience and we are happy to recommend The Lighthouse Continental Cafe Bar we will certainly make a beeline here on future visits.

Absolute gem of a place. I walked in juggling an overtired toddler and a little dog. Staff bent over backwards to make us comfortable: cold milk to the table so I could make the hot chocolate the right temp for the toddler; a bed, bowl of water, treats and chicken for the dog; even watched the dog while I took the little one to get changed. Genuinely all lovely people. Will definitely be visiting again!

Fabulous little nugget of a find in Torquay overlooking the harbour. Took my mum out for a day trip and Ollie the retriever came too, we were looking for a coffee & a cream tea so googled dog friendly cafes and the Lighthouse was top pick. Didn’t disappoint either. Lovely girl served us, very friendly as was the guy and the dog was treated like royalty. Jars of treats, water bowls and even choice of blankets and beds for the dog Coffee & the cream tea were delicious and we will be going back for sure on my next visit that’s a promise. Ollie says it can’t come soon enough 5

This is definitely a place to have an afternoon tea!! service was on point , really helpful and polite. The amount of food we got was amazing for the price , which was at 26, this included fresh prawn and crab sandwiches, scones (warmed up) cream, jam and a load of delicious cakes, plus your hot drinks. Over looking the harbour with beautiful views. 10 out of 10 and I would highly recommend

Called in for a beer recently on a hot sunny afternoon. Great friendly service. It was nice to have an iced beer glass on a hot day.
